The Anambra native Gifty was evicted from bb on Sunday. This took place during the life eviction show. She really did shock most of us when she said she had no idea who famous Nigerian artiste Falz and Banky were.

She was up for eviction with two other housemates "Mavis " and "T3" who survived the eviction.

Nigeria artiste, Simi who started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2006 titled "ogaju" just landed an endorsement deal with etisalat Nigeria.

In a recent chat with Saturday Beats she narrated how excited she was about her recent achievement.

She also said that even as some of her colleagues who are telecons brand ambassadors 'port' to a rival company after the expiration of their contract, Simi said she would not do that. In her words "I am with etisalat and I will not leave ".

US SUPPORTS NIGERIA WITH $1BN FOR ITS POWER SECTOR

Though Nigeria has been listed as one of the priority countries to benefit from United States $10bn-assisted power project for Africa, the USAID founded Energy Initiative (UEI)  said the country should indicate the most important areas of the sector that needs urgent attention for it to draw $1 billion support from the total fund in this year 2017.

The UEI, which was created by the administration of former USA President Barrack Obama,  has also announced plans to inject more funds to develop Nigeria's power sector, if the policy is made better.

CHINA SUSPENDS THE IMPORT OF COAL FROM NORTH KOREA

China will suspend all imports of coal from North Korea for the rest of the year.
The suspension, which implements existing UN sanctions, will start on 19th February and remain in force till the end of the year. The decision came less than a week after North Korea's latest missile test, as tensions escalate over the reclusive state's defiance of UN resolutions.

THE ARREST OF SINGER HARRYSONG

Singer harrysong was arrested yesterday for fraud and breach of contract by five star music. They issued a statement as follows:
- It has become both imperative and necessary to state our position on the ongoing misguided and fallacious news make the rounds in the media between our esteemed record label and Mr. Harry Tare Okri.
 Sometime in 2008 when he first approached our record label for a music contract, we immediately declined the request when we found out that he had a siting contract with Mr. Kevin Luciano of 'question mark record label '.
 He persuaded us consistently in 2014 this time more desperate. We asked for a statement indicating that he no longer had connections with 'question mark' which landed us in a #20,000,000.00 law suit with Mr. Kevin, and we welcomed him into the house. A decision we are all regretting today.
 We signed a three years old contract with him and some terms and conditions were stated.
- That he must deliver at least three full music albums on or before the expiration of the first term of his three years contract this was not met.
- Also that while in the industry he must not engage himself in anyway whatsoever,  either directly, by proxy or through a third party in any music or recording business other than that of five star music and this as well was not fulfilled.
